First day of classes
We now have the internet in our apartments! ( : Today was the first day of our German class. We had to get there around 10 am which was early for us, lol. Once we got there, we were in the media library and the director was showing us all that we could do there. While we were there, they tried to play a German movie about Berlin, but it wouldn't work on the projector. It would play through the computer but not through the projector. Being the engineers that we are, a lot of people in my group tried to get it to work but didn't get it, so we just went to a different room to watch the movie which was on the history of Berlin. We have two German teachers for our program, one that speaks a little English and one that speaks none. The one that speaks a little English had to leave so the one that speaks no English was in the room with us after the movie went off and because Mike, Dustin, and I are the only ones that speak German, we had to translate for everyone, lol. After that, we went to the 20th floor of the building where they have a cafeteria and a nice view of the city. Once we left there we went to the Mensa to eat. Later, we went on a boat ride through the city which was about 3 hours long. We got to see some interesting buildings though which all were very pretty. Luckily for me, because I've been speaking German for 5 years, I'm in the advanced German class with Mike and Dustin so I don't have class until 10 am while everyone else has class at 8 am. It's only for tomorrow though. Class is 4 hours long, so hopefully it won't be boring. I don't think it will be though because we will probably get a lot of one on one help because it's only 3 of us that already know the language basically.
